According to Philip Waweru, the national executive director of the Kenya Organization of Peer Educators, Ms Kenyatta will grace the event with the company of other senior officials from the Health ministry and National Aids Control Council.

The function set to be staged at Kenyatta International Convention Center (KICC) is themed ‘Towards Zero new HIV infections, zero deaths, zero stigma and discrimination’.

Applauding the First Lady's health initiative, Mr Waweru said the project is of its kind in Kenya and even across the African continent.

"Our First Lady’s Beyond Zero campaign has visibly proved very effective, and now it is up to the task of fighting to curb new HIV infections among the youth," issued Waweru.

The three-day international conference will use drama groups to deliver educative pieces of information through creative art.

The conference will also bring together over 1,000 delegates from more than ten countries from the Eastern and South African regions.
