First Lady Margaret Kenyatta said women in Kenya hold the strongest block of votes which they should use to determine the future of the Country during the fresh Presidential election on Thursday.While speaking to women in Nyeri on Saturday, she said the October 26 poll is an important one for the Country and asked all those eligible to vote to exercise their constitutional rights and vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta.“We have a vote, a very strong vote; your vote matters – your vote will make a difference’’, said the First Lady when she addressed thousands of women in Othaya (Nyeri) and Kangema (Murang’a ) during meetings organized by Maendeleo Ya Wanawake Organisation (MYWO).The First Lady said the repeat elections were significant and urged all the Women to turn out and vote back President Uhuru Kenyatta.“This election matters. And so I urge you as women, as mothers talk to your families, and your friends and neighbours to go out on 26 October to vote”, she said.Margaret Kenyatta asked the women to be at the forefront in the action to change their lives adding that these moments were trying moments, especially for women.“Every one of you seated here today can help win this election for Uhuru Kenyatta and win by an even larger majority”, she said.The First Lady’s message was well amplified by all leaders in Nyeri and Murang’a who promised to mobilise every available vote for President Kenyatta.
