Speaking to HiviSasa.com on Thursday, a group of residents vowed to challenge the decision in court it the county leadership ignored their pleas.

The intrigue, which is similar to that on the exact place where the county headquarters should be build, may delay the construction consequently, making Nyamira residents to wait a little longer before the ambitious dream is realised.

“The question of discussion here is why the governor and his team are segregating vote-rich Kitutu Masaba region. From governance to issues of public interest we are discriminated. We have a huge public land in Nyaronge and the place is strategic because three constituencies have a border there,” said Alloys Monyoncho.

“We must rise up and put a spirited fight about it. The university must be brought to Nyaronge because the space is big compared to Riakimai. Let them prepare for a battle of titans in the court if they can’t give in to our demands,” added Samuel Nyangena.

Even though the region is geographically in Borabu constituency, many residents of Kitutu Masaba argues that it is a central location for the county and deserves to be developed if the county leadership wants all residents to be subjected to an equal distance in service delivery.
