Lake Naivasha fishermen have asked the Nakuru government to form a disaster management.
The fishermen have come out to say that none of the lakes in the county have divers or rescue boats.
David Kilo, chairman of the Lake Naivasha Boat Owners Association, said Nakuru county should train and equip divers.
"The former Governor visited the lake with disaster management officers from Nairobi. They promised to train local divers but this never materialised," Kilo said.
He said: "In all the rescue cases, we were forced to contribute for fuel and help local divers retrieve the bodies."
