Five youths were today arraigned in court for allegedly having fake Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) certificate during the police recruitment exercise in kisii County on Monday.
The six Jared Okongo, Aliud Omari, Agness Moraa, Yvone Andiva and Davin Ouko appeared before Kisii Resident Magistrate Mrs. Beatrice Ongaga and were charged that on 20/04/2015 they forged KCSE results slips with intention of using them to secure vacancy in the police force during the recruitment exercise.
The five faced different accounts of fraudulently presenting the forged certificate to one of the recruiting officers on the ground intentionally.
The suspects denied the charges and were released on a bond of Sh. 40,000 each and they are expected to be arraigned on court on 4/05/2015.
This comes after the cancelation of the first recruitment that was done last year. The recruits are expected to report for training immediately amid terror attacks.
Unlike previous exercises, medical tests were conducted at the recruitment centres.
