Police Officers and Chiefs in Kisii South have sent a stern warning to illicit brewers in the area.
This comes hit on the heels after they conducted raids against brewers and successfully arrested five suspects.
"The give will be arraigned in court today. I want to assure the public that we are going to deal with illegal brewing until we find a solution," said Mr Benson Mosumari the area chief.
He said that they were working under orders from above and their aim was to eradicate illegal brewing in the area.
He also said that in their raids they will also not spare illegal brewers.
"We are encouraging responsible drinking in our area and I will ensure that sanity is restored," he said.
"Also education has been affected because of gambling and we shall equally arrest those involved," he added.
In the raid conducted on Saturday Mr Mosumari said they poured 7,500 litres of illegal brew and ten drums of kangara.
"I also request members of the public to always share information so that we take quick action whenever they suspect that one is still brewing liquor," he said.
