[Photo: hivisasa.com]The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has cleared five candidates to vie for the Uasin Gishu Senate seat. The five presented their papers at the IEBC county offices in Eldoret town, Sunday and Monday. They are Jubilee Party's Prof Margaret Kamar, Phillip Kiyeng of Labour Party, KANU's Emiliamo Kipkorir, Thomas Murgor (ODM) and Robert Arap Kemei, an Independent candidate. However analysts say it will be a two-horse race for the seat in August polls between Kamar and Arap Kemei. The former Minister beat Arap Kemei, a former Radio broadcaster during the Jubilee Party nominations by a margin of over 23,000 votes.Kemei however disputed the results claiming they were doctored in favour of Kamar and opted to vie as an Independent candidate.
