From long time ago, there are things human beings have believed in but are not true. They include myths that will really threaten you for nothing. Truth is we are responsible for what we choose to believe and what we throw out through the window. Here are some false myths believed to be true:

Stress causes grey hair

People have always been made to believe that grey hair at a young age is as a result of stress. This is pure lies that should never be taken. Grey hair is due to a genetic characteristic, and not the hardship we go through in our lives. This notion was created long ago in movies and films which people believed in but never applies in real life.

Opposites attract

This is a notion that many people get wrong when applying in real life. We should understand that opposite attraction is only in magnets. In human beings, we develop a liking according to certain interest and habits. There is never an attraction in humans, rather likings.

Eight hours of sleep

Health specialists believe a normal human being should have at least an eight-hour sleep a day. This is a lie we all should know about. Different people have different sleep patterns. One person can sleep comfortably for say two hours, while the other can take even twelve hours sleeping.

5 senses

Our primary school teachers lied to us when they said human beings have only 5 senses; taste, smell, hearing, touch and sight. However, this is a lie since we have lots of other senses. Scientists have proven that humans have many other senses which include; sense of balance that allows us to walk, a sense of pain, a sense of external temperature, posture and sense of time.

Watching TV

Our parents have always been against the idea of watching a TV set from a close range, as this will harm your eyes. This is a wrong assumption since many children do this all the time but their eye sight is still good. The only thing about watching a TV from a close range is you will be straining your eye sight, and not harming it in any way. This behavior goes away when kids grow old with no effects on them.
