The lakeside city is inhabited by a number of government offices which help in the coordination of services in the region.

Many residents are, however, not aware of the various government offices available in the area, hence spending a lot of time trying to trace them, with some even traveling out of the city to acquire services. 

Here are some of the government offices you should know in Kisumu:

 1. Huduma center

Huduma Kenya is a programme by the national government that aims to transform Public service delivery by providing citizens with easy access to various government services.

The centers provide a one stop shop where citizens can access the various government services.

 The Kisumu Huduma centre is located at the Prosperity House, next to the Central Bank.

2.KRA Forodha House

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Forodha house in Kisumu is located at the Aga Khan roundabout on your way from town.

 You can visit it to sort out your tax related issues.

3. KIWASCO

Kisumu Water and Sewerage Company (KIWASCO) provides water and sewerage services to the residents of Kisumu City. 

The KIWASCO offices are located at Nafaka house, Oginga Odinga street along Makasembo Road. 

4. County government office

The Kisumu county government office is located at the Prosperity house next to the Central Bank.  All county programmes are conducted here.

5. KPLC office

The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) office is located next to the Easy Coach Booking Office, New station Road. It is the place to go when one has electricity related issues.
