President Uhuru Kenyatta has penned to influential world leaders ahead of his Tuesday’s inauguration, reports the Star.
At the time the country is undergoing political uncertainty, Uhuru is keen to reach to world leaders following controversial elections that were boycotted by the opposition.
Former US president Barack Obama is among the long list of guests who are expected to join Kenyans at Kasarani Sports complex for Uhuru’s oath taking.
Although he is yet to confirm, USA understandably, has not recognized Uhuru’s victory following police brutality of a host of opposition supporters.
On his part, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has already confirmed that he will be in Nairobi shortly on Tuesday.
Also invited is UN boss Antonio Guttieres, who has however toured Kenya in several occasions especially when he was in charge of UNHCR.
African union chairman Alpha Conde of Guinea is expected to be in the country by the virtue of his strong position.
To wrap up the powerful list, Uhuru has invited the chairman of Commonwealth countries Joseph Muscat, who is also the Prime Minister of Malta.
