Bungoma Senator is set to be ousted as the Senate Minority leader On Monday.

On Thursday last week ODM senators moved a motion to oust Wetangula and replace him with Siaya’s James Orengo.

If the ouster is succesfull, it means that Wetangula will miss out on a number of benefits that accompany his office.

Unlike ordinary lawmakers, the offices of leader of majority, leader of minority and whips in the National Assembly and Senate have a bigger staff.

The staff is fully catered for by the Parliamentary Service Commission.Holders also enjoy a facilitation office, which is bigger and different from those of other members.

The minority leaders also has an enhanced mode of transport fully catered for by the taxpayer.

Additionally, the position attracts  responsibility allowance and a sit in the powerful Senate Business committee.
