The abductors allegedly beat their victims before ordering them to relieve themselves and eat, drink the waste.

According to one of the victims, Mr Josphat Mugira, he, his colleagues and boss were ambushed by men armed with blunt objects on motorbikes when they were going home.

The aggressors then ordered Mugira and his colleagues to follow them to Kiruyu village where the victims were forced to undress and thereafter beaten.

The kidnappers also squeezed their victims’ private parts before abandoning them near the Meru National Park with serious injuries.

One of them is still hospitalised at Laare Maternity Health Center, whereas the other four were treated and discharged.

A medical officer at Laare Maternity Health Center, Dr Mithika Ntongai, said one of the victims, Gerald Kimathi, 37, had rib injuries that resulted in him coughing up blood, suffered internal injuries from chest trauma and his private parts were bruised.

Dr Ntongai said the other four victims, who had suffered bruises and external injuries, were treated and discharged.

Police have launched a man hunt for the abductors.
