Speaking on Sunday when he received the team, which had embarked on a 1000km walk from Migori to Mombasa County, Joho praised the initiative adding that the commitment of the group members is an inspiration to many people around the world.

"The devotion, dedication and commitment to the cause is an inspiration to many people across the world," said Joho.

Joho further urged Kenyans at large to come together and help women suffering from cervical cancer.

"Together, step by step, we can change someone's life," he said.

The five-member-team took 34 days to cover the distance between Migori and Mombasa.

The aim of the walk is to raise funds to help women from disadvantaged backgrounds suffering from cervical cancer.
