[Photo|CGKK]Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has decried tragic loss of lives through recurring road accidents in the county.He urged residents especially drivers to comply with road safety regulations, traffic code, to reduce incidences of deaths on the roads.Oparanya was speaking on Wednesday, during a joint funeral service of five young men; Elvis Lumiti, Ambrose Khasiala, Peter Mwilikha, Robert Sika and Derick Namusende at Museno grounds, Khayega, Shinyalu sub-county. The five who would be laid to rest in their respective homes on Thursday January 18, died last week when their motorbike collided with a motor vehicle near Sigalagala.The governor reminded mourners that his administration had already rolled out the free education programme for ECDE children and county polytechnics in the entire county and urged them to utilise the chance by enroling their children in schools.Also present were the Deputy Governor, Prof Philip Kutima, County Assembly Speaker Morris Buluma, Shinyalu sub-county DCC Dorcas Rono and MCAs led by Majority and Minority Leaders, County Executive Members among others.
