Five people died on the spot in a road accident involving a motorcycle and a small car at Sigalagala trading center on the Kakamega-Kisumu road on Friday morning.

The victims were riding on a motorcycle when it collided head-on with an oncoming car from Kisumu heading to Kakamega town.

Area traffic commandant Geoffrey Njogu confirmed the incident.

Mr. Njogu warned boda-boda operators who are used to flout traffic rules.
