Drink waterBad breath can be as a result of lack of saliva in the mouth. Drink plenty of water which will give you a fresher mouth. Swish cold water around your mouth every now and then. Baking SodaThis is mostly used by those who have bad breath due to alcohol consumption. Take one cup of water and add a teaspoon of baking soda, then add a few drops of peppermint essential oil which has antimicrobial properties. Baking powder will help keep your mouth odour free by regulating acid levels in your mouth.3. ClovesCloves have an antibacterial property. Chew them raw to have a freshened mouth. Alternatively, you can make clove tea that acts as a good mouthwash. Take a teaspoon of ground cloves, mix in a cup of water and boil, allow to simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Use this mouthwash twice a day.4. Lemon JuiceLemon can be used in different ways. Chewing a lemon or orange rind will freshen your mouth and give you flavoured breath.  Saliva production will also be stimulated by the citric acid in lemon juice. Alternatively, rinse your mouth with lemon juice to alleviate bad breath.5. Apple Cider VinegarApple cider vinegar is believed to take care of balancing PH levels in the mouth, more so it is helpful in the digestion process, making it suitable for alleviating bad breath. Drink a solution of raw apple cider vinegar before meals.
