National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Amolo Odinga and Central Organization of Trade Union (COTU) chairperson Francis Atwoli are among the personalities who need no introduction.
The two are not only influential but also vocal in matters of national interest. Here are some of the common things between the two leaders.
They studied abroad
Both Atwoli and Raila had the privilege to pursue their education overseas. Atwoli earned a scholarship to study at ILO college of Labour Studies in Turin, Italy and George Mini Labor Center in Maryland USA. On his part, Raila studied engineering at Germany’s Technical School in Magdeburg.
They are over 70 years
Francis Atwoli is 70 years old while Raila is 72 years old
They were vocal under the Moi and Kibaki regime
Both Atwoli were very vocal in matters affecting the common mwananchi during former president Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi and Mwai Kibaki.
They hold a number of powerful positions
Atwoli holds a seat in the International Labor Organization (ILO) among other keys posts while Raila is an ODM leader among other posts.

Besides politics, Raila is an influential businessperson. He owns a molasses plant among other companies. Atwoli also runs several businesses across the nation.
