Social media is a double edge sword, it benefits comes with demerits. While posting your age, status, location, relationship status among the others in social media, you should be very careful otherwise you might live in regrets. Here are some of the things you should avoid posting on social media:
1. Complaints about your boss company you are working in. This can be a grave mistake you decide to commit. There is no privacy in social media. If your boss is harsh or the company you are working in is underpaying you, social media is not the place to settle your plights.
2. Political propaganda and tirades. You should never post a political subject to social media out of assumption without doing research. This might lead you to regrets.
3. Inappropriate and vulgar personal images. Social media is no place for your secret selfies. Any picture or vulgar content is prone to linking to other sites in social media. This might cause your respect for your beloved ones.
4. Your current location. Many people don't realize that when they post a status update or a tweet, they may also be revealing their current location. Giving out your location information can be dangerous because it tells potential thieves that you might not be at home. Depending on your privacy settings, that innocent tweet from your vacation spot might give the bad guys the green light they were waiting for to rob your house.
5. Full dates of birth. While you may love getting loads of birthday wishes posted by your friends on your Facebook timeline, having your birth-date posted on your profile may provide scammers and identity thieves with one of the key pieces of information needed to steal your identity and open up accounts in your name.
