A Football Kenya Federation (FKF) official has reportedly attacked and injured a sports journalist at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
The incident occurred Sunday evening during the Harambee Starlets game against Ghana.
According to Futaa.com, FKF official Ken Okaka roughed up the journalist while the latter was doing a media interview.
He reportedly slapped and kicked him over in what is though to have been a grudge from before.
"It took the intervention of his friends, including a police officer to separate the innocent journalist from the attacker. Apparently, the journalist's stance on matters pertaining various football policies was central to the incidence," said a report by Futaa.
The matter has been reported to the police.
