“Football Kenya Federation has waived gate charges for the upcoming CAF assignments pitting the National Women team and the National U20 team against Uganda and Rwanda respectively,"

“Harambee Starlets is set to face Uganda in an Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) Qualifier first leg tie set to be played on April 4 at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos,” FKF said in a post on their website..

“The Rising Stars, on the other hand, will face Rwanda in a U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifier slated for April 1, 2018, at the same venue,” the communication added.

“FKF remains committed to developing all aspects of the game. In this perspective, we have decided to let fans watch the matches for free in our endeavor to promote the sport to the Kenyan populace,” federation CEO, Robert Muthomi, was quoted saying.

This development comes a day after the national team Harambee Stars went down 3-2 against the Central Africa Republic in Morocco in a friendly. 

This triggered a backlash from fans across the country, who felt the team failed.This led to the dismissal of the technical bench by the federation.
