Classy Congolese singer Ferre Gola is scheduled for two grand concerts in Nairobi and Mombasa.Ferre will first perform at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) Nairobi on Friday before jetting to the Coastal town of Mombasa where he will stage a show at the Mamba Village on April 16 courtesy of Melamoney Ltd.The two events come a few four months after the artist staged an electrifying show attended by high profile guests and fans at the high-end Villa Rosa Kempinski along Waiyaki Way in Nairobi in December 2016.Normal advance tickets for the two shows are now going for Sh3,000 and Sh3,500 at the gate.VIP tickets are being sold for Sh5,000 for the concerts expected to attract hundreds of fans given the musician's high skill in controlling the stage with his thrilling performance.This will be his sixth visit to Kenya.He will jet into the country on Wednesday night from Paris, France accompanied by 17 members of his band popularly known as Jet Seven.Among them will be his lead singer Chikito.Described as one of the most celebrated African artists, Ferre won the African Artist of the Year category in an awards ceremony held in March in Younde, Cameroon.He told Kenyan fans to expect the best of his performance during the two shows.“Despite the fact that some years back Congolese musicians flocked to the country (Kenya) for performance, that has since changed because we are invited to other countries by lovers of our music, even though Kenyans have kept Lingala music in their hearts, thus their demands that I come back with my best,” he said on Tuesday ahead of his visit.Some of the most entertaining tracks he is expected to perform include Kamasutra, Pakadjuma, Porte Monnaie, Litaka, Boite Noire, Chichiwash, Panzi Likolo, Leke Leke and Seben.
