Several sewage pipes in Garrisa have been swept away by flooding rain waters due to heavy rains being experienced in the region.
Business people and residents as well have asked area MP Aden Duale to move with speed and repair the drainage pipes to ease water flow.
"Duale should move with speed to ensure the that the drainage is repaired to avoid excess flooding along and curb unnecessary accidents because children may drown in the flooding waters," said Aisha a business lady.
Residents appealed to the current MP Aden Duale not to divert funds but instead use public funds appropriately to complete his second term development projects.
"Projects such as roads and drainages in Garrisa should be finished using CDF funds but that will only be achieved if our able leader will properly allocate the development funds," said Abdla Amar.
The area has been receiving very high rainfall since easter season and if it continues flood may cause havoc in the region and stop business operations.
