Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong has urged the much touted National Super Alliance (NASA) to come up with an agenda of serving and uniting Kenyans but not only to remove President Uhuru Kenyatta from power in the August 8, elections.
Speaking during the installation service for Lt Col Fanuel and Lucy Maube of the newly created Elgon Division of the Salvation Army Church in Kolanya, Ojaamong said unity with an agenda is the way to go.
"NASA formation is laudable but the main objective should not be to remove the incumbent from the throne. We need leaders who are fronting for such bid to tell Kenyans their agenda," he said. It is my prayer that the NASA formation fronted by leaders will realize unity that will transform the country. Such previous groupings without agenda have ended up in shambles."
The Governor called for peaceful campaigns devoid of chaos.
"Leaders seeking various seats should look for votes in an amicable way and not to fuel animosity," he said.
NASA which is the brain child of Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi is the train which the opposition is seeking to ride on in the general elections to dethrone President Kenyatta from power.
Cord co-principals Raila Odinga, Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka have pledged to unite with Mudavadi to come up with a formidable opposition.
