Political commentator and lawyer Miguna Miguna has reiterated the National Super Alliance (NASA) will still fall short in the forthcoming elections if they do not agitate for a change in IEBC operations.

According to Miguna, there are IEBC commissioners who should not be holding office after the Supreme court found the electoral body of illegalities and irregularities. These led to the annulment of the August presidential elections.

The lawyer feels that if given another chance in office, the commissioners will still sabotage the whole process and put the country in jeopardy if another petition sails through.

"NASA is falling to the same trap. There are those IEBC commissioners who should not be in office for sabotaging the August elections. If given another chance, these people will still sabotage the new presidential elections slated for October," said Miguna.

Miguna, speaking during an interview on NTV on Tuesday, further dispelled claims that there was no time to reconstruct the IEBC personnel in case the current commissioners are sent parking.

In his view, the electoral body can incorporate consultations with the main stakeholders in the forthcoming elections and new people put at the helm of the electoral body. Through this, he believes the elections will be free from 'cooked' figures used to announce winner.
