President Uhuru Kenyatta has said he will focus on civil servants on notice and observe how they serve Kenyans during his second term in office.

He said it will be no longer be business as usual as the public servants need to provide efficient service delivery to all.

“I will not allow faceless bureaucrats and functionaries to deny the public the quality of service they deserve from their government,” he said.

“Parliament we shall enact legislation to strengthen fiscal discipline and accountability at both the national and county levels. Every shilling of Kenyans’ taxpayer money must be fully accounted for.”

President Kenyatta further stated that his administration will work together with the Judiciary to address delays in concluding urgent cases and petitions.

He made the remarks during his inauguration ceremony at Kasarani Stadium
