Political analyst Chris Bichachi said that the numerous court cases that the Nasa brigade has been filing would not help them gain much adding that in contrast it was only confusing their supporters further."All that Nasa needs to focus on now is how they will protect their votes. They need to start vetting their polling agents so that they are not shortchanged, otherwise these appeal cases are only confusing their supporters over their readiness for the polls," he told Citizen TV.Bichachi's sentiments came hot on the heels of Nasa lawyers pronouncements that they would file an appeal to challenge a high court ruling on the manual backup system during the election.

In the case, Nasa sought to have the Iebc compelled to postpone the August 8 elections should they fail to find an alternative backup system that is not manual in case the electroni one fails. It however floped after judges ruled that the  electronic system cannot be totally exclusive and may fail, throwing the country into confusion.
