Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o has urged his County Executive Committee Members to commit themselves to delivering services to the residents. He urged the CECs to have a clear performance vision for departments they have been appointed to.

Nyong’o also told the team to help him deliver on his manifesto which he presented to the residents of Kisumu when he was campaigning.

“We must at all time commit to delivering services to the people of Kisumu,” he said.

The county chief was speaking during the swearing-in ceremony of the nine nominees for CeC positions which was presided over by Kisumu chief magistrate Julius Ng’arng’ar.

The nine took the oath of office after the County Assembly vetted and approved 10 names last month.

However, one CeC nominee for the position of Finance, Robert Kennedy Ouko did not take the oath of office.

It was revealed that Ouko tendered his resignation to Nyong’o indicating that he was taking up another opportunity elsewhere.
