Residents of Wote town in Makueni County woke up to the shocking news of a six-month-old foetus that was left at Unoa grounds.
The dead foetus that was wrapped in papers drew the attention of residents who alerted the police.
Confirming this incident, Wote OCPD Busita Omukolongolo said investigations had been launched and the police were already searching for the mother of the dead child.
“I urge the public to work with the police to bring the culprit to book,” he said.
In the same town, several items were stolen from Ngooni supermarket at around five in the morning but some items were recovered later in the day.
Omukolongolo asked the public to assist the police to nab the suspects who are said to be part of a gang using crude weapons to rob people in the town.
