“I  do not see any reason why Kenyans steal children when there are homes where they can adopt children and still enjoy parenthood,” said Ruto.

Speaking at AGC baby center in Ngata Rongai sub-county, the Deputy Governor called on Kenyans of goodwill to visit those centers and give hope to abandoned children and the owners of such homes.

To avoid cases where youths abandon and dump children, Ruto said that the parents have a role to play in guiding their children against indulging in promiscuous lives.

The home has 58 children aged between 1 day to 3 years, who have been rescued from as far as Turkana, Bomet, Narok and Nairobi counties.

They received food stuffs from the county government and well wishers.

There have been increase cases of child theft not only in Nakuru, but the entire nation at large.
