Steve Mogaka, a Nairobi based advocate has urged IEBC commissioners to get out of office in order to pave way for a newly constituted team to handle next year's elections.

"The only way of getting credible leaders and elections, the commissioners have to evacuate from office," said Mogaka.

This comes as the opposition team led by Raila Odinga continue to push for the commissioners to leave office with weekly demonstrations. 

Mogaka has also urged the commissioners to set aside what the constitution says for the benefit of the Kenyan people.

"Despite what the constitution says, the commissioners have to resign for the benefit of the people who have said they have to leave office," he added.

Mogaka was saying this when addressing West Mogirango electorates at his home yard in Nyamira town on Sunday.

Mogaka has set his eyes on the on the West Mogirango constituency seat.
