Saboti MP David Wafula claims that Ford Kenya party was behind Deputy President William Ruto's recent hostile reception in Western Kenya.
Wafula further says the intention was to show the party's strength in its Bungoma and Trans Nzoia traditional strongholds.
Ruto encountered hostility from angry youths both in Bungoma and Kitale during his voter registration campaign that saw him postpone two major rallies.
"The hostile reception was a creation of Ford Kenya leadership. It has nothing to do with ordinary people from those regions," he said.
"They just wanted to show their political strength but the truth remains Jubilee Party's popularity is steadily growing in Western region," he added.
In Kitale, the DP was forced to change his landing site to Kitale town after rowdy youths blocked entry to Masaba primary in Kiminini township.
