The opposition Ford Kenya party has rejected efforts by Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to meet opposition chief Raila Odinga.
The party through its deputy party leader and former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale said the Ford Kenya's head, Moses Wetangula is not aware of such a move and no party member is thus prepared to meet the former prime minister.
"Stephen Kalonzo's statement on Monday that together with Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi, they intend to meet Raila Odinga to ask if he has left NASA or not is his own position and not shared with Wetangula and the Ford Kenya fraternity," Khalwale said.
Kalonzo on Monday said the three NASA co-principals- Kalonzo, Wetangula, and Mudavadi- intend to meet Raila so that the former prime minister can state whether he is still in NASA or he has left the coalition.
NASA's strength has been shaky from the time Raila held a meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta at the commander in chief's office at Harambee House Nairobi.
Kalonzo, Mudavadi, and Wetangula accused Raila of sidelining them by secretly holding the meeting with Uhuru without their knowledge.
After the meeting, Raila announced that he would work closely with Uhuru for the sake of uniting a country that came out of last year's general election sharply divided into tribal and regional lies.
