Speaking during a Ford Kenya delegates meeting at Freretown Hall in Mombasa, the party's national secretary general Yasser Bajaber said it will be easy to defeat Jubilee if Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Raila Odinga (ODM) and Moses Wetang’ula (Ford Kenya) agree to share various positions.

Bajaber said Jubilee will take the day if the opposition presents different candidates for the same posts during the August elections.

“We agreed that Ford Kenya will field the Senate candidate. If we want to win as a coalition, we need to negotiate as a family and field a stronger candidate for governor. If we fight amongst ourselves, then Jubilee will defeat us,” he said, as quoted by The Star.

The county’s gubernatorial seat has attracted different aspirants including the incumbent Governor Hassan Joho, Senator Hassan Omar and Nyali MP Hezron Awiti who are all Cord members.

The three will be banking on the support of Cord leader Raila Odinga to clinch the seat when that time comes.
