Ford-Kenya has caused a storm in NASA after challenging the coalition's list of the 12 nominees to the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA).
The party's Assistant Secretary-General Yasser Ali Sheikh sued the NASA alliance and Speakers of both Houses while faulting the coalition for failing to be inclusive in the selections.
He said NASA failed to include a representative from the Chama Cha Mashinani that was an affiliate party prior to the general elections.
Sheikh said NASA conducted the nomination process in a discreet manner and did not adhere to the coalition's rules.
He also accuses faulted NASA of failing to give his party the opportunity to inspect and verify the nomination papers.
“The list was arrived at without consulting or involving Ford-Kenya which is an equal partner and constituent party in the final decision-making process,” said his lawyer Mr Titus Ochich.
Disquiet is said to be building in the opposition with affiliate parties seen to be reading from different scripts.
Earlier this week, Wiper through their leaders Farah Maalim and Mutula Kilonzo Jnr objected plans to swear-in NASA leader Raila Odinga, bringing to public light the discord in the powerful opposition alliance.
