An authority scandal is stewing inside Ford Kenya, with a few individuals within the party pushing for the expulsion of the party's pioneer Moses Wetang'ula.
In a letter duplicated to the Registrar of Political Parties, Lucy Ndung'u, a group of Ford K leaders led by Peter Munyae needs Senator Wetang'ula substituted for neglecting to call a National Delegates Conference (NDC) since 2011.
"The party Constitution requires that you convene NDC at least once every two years. The last NDC was held in 2011 and no plausible reasons have been advanced by yourself, the National Executive Council or the party leader to explain this disregard of the party constitution," said the letter signed by Mr Munyae.
Munyae further asserted that he is the newly appointed Ford-K's Organising secretary.
In a reply, Wetang'ula named Munyae an outsider in the party, saying he had been assuaged of his position two years back and supplanted by different authorities.
