The party's Nairobi chairman Lupesia Komesa calims he was abducted by hired goons on Saturday in Thika town, and was tortured before police officers came to his rescue at the Bomas.

Komesa said he was forced into a double-cab vehicle with registration number KCE 155Q where the abductors demanded to know why he, alongside section of other party officials want to oust Wetangula from the party.

He also claimed Kwanza lawmaker Ferdinand Wanyonyi was among the abductors, who roughed him up, causing him injuries.

“As I was about to get into the meeting, I was abducted by youth and forced into a car where I found the MP and other people. They warned me to cooperate with them or they would kill me,I was kept in the car for long hours and even pleaded with the abductors to give me water but they refused. I even told them that Jesus while on the cross asked for water but they told me that the case of Jesus was different from mine and that I should carry my own cross,” Komesa told the Star

Wanyonyi has however denied the allegations, but admitted he was in Thika same day.

“I was in Thika yes but the youth told me that they had rescued the man from angry supporters of the party,” said the MP.

Lupesia recorded a statement at the Lang'ata police station under OB number OB62/26/11/2016.

He also identified other two abductors as Mandu Mandu and Jack Wamboka who are both Ford Kenya party officials.
