Ford Kenya assistant secretary general Yasser Ali Sheikh took the coalition to court over a list of nominees to East African Legislative Assembly (EALA).Among those nominated by opposition Nasa include Raila's elder brother Oburu Odinga, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka's son Kennedy Musyoka and Nasa CEO Norman Magaya.Sheikh wants changes to be made in the nomination list presented to Parliament so as to include names of his party. “Ford-K was not consulted nor provided with an opportunity to lobby for its preferred candidate,” claimed Yasser as quoted by Citizen digital. Ford Kenya which is under the leadership if Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula is Nasa's affiliate party. Yassir who also claimed his name was excluded from the list added, “In failing to take into consideration the inclusion of a member from one of its coalition partners and also a member for the Coast region a stronghold of NASA amounts to a heinous act of impunity on the part of organs of the coalition."The Ford Kenya party official wants the court to stop the 12 nominees from canvassing, lobbying, campaigning or seeking the support of any member of parliament ahead of their voting.
