Ford Kenya’s Nairobi County chairman claims he was kidnapped and tortured after he opposed Cord co-principal Moses Wetangula’s meeting at the Bomas of Kenya.
Lupesia Komesa says he was abducted by hired goons. He sustained injuries on his hands and private parts
Komesa said he was in Thika to attend a rival Ford Kenya National Delegates Congress when he was abducted before entering the forum at Birmingham Hotel.
Ford Kenya delegates endorsed Wetangula as the party’s presidential candidate, during a meeting held at Bomas on Saturday.
He named Kwanza MP Ferdinand Wanyonyi as one of the abductors who tortured him. The MP has however denied the claims, but said he was in Thika “to see what was happening at the rival meeting”.
“As I was about to get into the meeting, I was abducted by youth and forced into a car where I found the MP and other people. They warned me to cooperate with them or they would kill me,” claimed the Ford Kenya official.
“I was kept in the car for long hours and even pleaded with the abductors to give me water but they refused. I even told them that Jesus while on the cross asked for water but they told me that the case of Jesus was different from mine and that I should carry my own cross,” he told the Star.
Komesa has recorded a statement at Langata Police Station, and was treated at Langata Women Hospital and obtained a P3 Form following the incident.
