FORD-Kenya Secretary General Dr.Eseli Simiyu has said they are ready to walk out of the National Super Alliance(Nasa) coalition if ODM pushes for Moses Wetangula's ouster as Senate Minority leader.
Already the Orange Democratic Movement(ODM)has reached a decision seeking to replace Senator Moses Wetangula as the house's minority leader with ODM's Siaya Senator James Orengo.
Following the resolve by the ODM Senators for the ouster,Simuyu now claims "NASA doesn't exist" and it's time for a 'divorce'.
" At the moment it looks like NASA doesn't exist and we are forced to move out. When partners show outright disrespect, then it's time for divorce,"he said in a local TV interview.
He added: "The issue of ousting Moses Wetangula is the height of disrespect.
"Although the removal of Moses Wetangula as Senate Minority leader has been validated by the Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka,it stands suspended at the moment.
According to Lusaka, the ouster will only take effect after the NASA coalition elects a Senator for the position in strict adherence to Standing orders 20(1) and submits a decision in written form to his office through Senate Minority whip.
Reports indicate that NASA leader Raila Odinga has distanced himself from the Senate motion with Wetangula declaring a war on ODM party for the removal.
