Despite handing him a memorable defeat in Kitutu Chache South, Antony Kibagendi believes Ford Kenya’s Richard Onyonka will after all work with Jubilee administration.

For a third consecutive election, Onyonka clinched the hotly contested seat having garnered 10,122 votes over Kibagendi’s 5,074 in Tuesday’s poll.

And Kibagendi insists that the outspoken MP has a soft spot on President Uhuru Kenyatta and would easily switch allegiance.

“I congratulate him for victory and I am probably sure that he will join Jubilee soon. He is a focused leader and cannot work with those who oppose development,” he said.

He further said: “He was backed by Jubilee leaders who were against my candidature but I wish him all the best.”

Before joining Ford Kenya, Onyonka who was elected on ODM in 2013, briefly worked with Jubilee before his excommunication by orange party.

Dramatically, his former boss, Raila Odinga, backed his candidature few days to elections despite ODM fielding a candidate.
