Ford-People party, which joined the coalition just after the 2013 general election wished to keep their party identity despite rallying behind presidential candidate of the Jubilee Party

Speaking in Kisii, FORD-People national chairman, Albert Nyaundi explained the party's underway discussions to join the Jubilee party with a view to making its non-dissolution position known from the onset.

This comes amid ongoing efforts by an interparty caucus to be led by former minister Noah Wekesa and Meru Senator Kiraitu Murungi to finalise plans to launch the new Jubilee party after the coalition is fully merged.

Ford-People maintains, they shall remain an entity and continue serving its members nationally. They announced plans of holding party popularising rallies and recruitment drives.
