Bomorenda ward representative John Ombati has said that Ford People was a briefcase party and doesn’t have any significance by joining Jubilee party.
Speaking during a burial of late elder Kenani Omari on Thursday, Ombati said that the move by the party in joining Jubilee party will not affect the way Gusii community has been carrying out politics and the residents know who they will vote for.
“I would like to tell the residents that Gusii community is large that one party Ford people that have been dissolved and most of those delegates who are in Nairobi doesn’t represent anyone but themselves and most of them are political brokers” he added
He called upon the residents to sober up and be keen during the election time so that they can choose the best leaders who can take the country to the next level.
Ombati also called upon all area leaders to be the eye of the public by giving them the right direction that will bring development to the region.
His comments come as Ford People delegates are currently meeting in Nairobi to dissolve the party and join Jubilee Party.
