Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichung'wa now claims the much-awaited Supreme Court judgement on the August 8 presidential election is being written by third parties.
Speaking to the press at Parliament Buildings on Wednesday, Kimani said some civil society groups had hired researchers who are now working together with the judges in writing the ruling, which overturned the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"We will not allow our judges to be lazy to a point where they abdicate their duties to some players sourced by civil societies. If they cannot put up with work, they should resign," the MP said as quoted by the Nation.
In its September 1 ruling, the Chief Justice David Maraga-led Supreme Court nullified Uhuru's win, citing illegalities and irregularities in the electoral process.
The court, which ordered a fresh election in 60 days, promised to issue the full judgement in 21 days.
Jubilee administration led by President Kenyatta have repeatedly criticised the court for 'stealing' their victory.
"They stole my victory in broad daylight. The Supreme Court should have ordered a repeat count of the votes in an open area like Kasarani Stadium," Uhuru said addressing a delegation from Kisii and Nyamira counties on Wednesday.
