Former Nyamira governorship aspirant Walter Nyambati has been told to forget about a by-election in Nyamira County.
According to Governor John Nyagarama's press secretary Gisesa Nyambega, Nyambati will not succeed to force Nyamira electorates to go into the ballot to vote for the governor.
Gisesa claimed that Nyambati is being used by DP William Ruto to frustrate Governor Nyagarama's efforts to develop the county.
"The appeal Nyambati filed at a Kisumu court will not help him since Nyamira people have a validly elected ODM governor.
"Nyambati and his Jubilee party should consider dropping the case since Nyagarama won fairly," he said.
He said Nyambati will not force himself on the people of Nyamira who made a right choice during the last year's polls.
Mr. Gisesa warned DP Ruto agaisnt involving himself in Nyamira politics saying he corrupt ways will not be condoned in Nyamira.
"We are aware that Ruto paid lawyer Fred Ngatia to represent the Jubilee candidate, Nyambati at Kisumu court to push for the nullification of Nyagarama's victory. Nyamira people are not ready to sleep in the same bed with Ruto," he added.
He asked the former MP to drop the appeal and wait for 2022 to weigh himself whether the people of Nyamira will accept him.
