Nakuru West Member of Parliament Samuel Arama has called on members of the Abagusii community to throw out Cord leader Raila Odinga’s politics of agitation.
He accused the Cord leader of lacking respect for the Gusii community despite the support it has given him over the years.
“It is high time we the people of Gusii stop taking up confrontation politics because it will not bring us development. We are in the opposition but I want to tell you that our leaders from the Cord coalition are totally misleading us as a community and they have side-lined this community,” he said.
Arama was speaking in Borabu constituency where he called on the Gusii community leaders to embrace other leaders irrespective of party affiliations to them for the sake of development in the region.
The legislator said the he was elected on an ODM ticket but he has no problem at all working with other elected leaders from different political parties.
“I am an ODM Member of Parliament, but I have no problem working with leaders from other political parties to empower Kenyans and bring down development to the people. Making noise all over does not bring development,” he said.
