Mombasa businessman Suleiman Shahbal has asked NASA supporters to abandon Raila Odinga and support president Uhuru Kenyatta's government.Shahbal, who unsuccessfully contested for the Mombasa Governor seat in the August 8 polls, told NASA supporters to forget Raila's 'Canaan'.Speaking to journalists in Mombasa Town on Tuesday, Shahbal said that Raila and NASA failed to take their supporters to the promised land (Canaan) and now want to use them as objects of violence. The Jubilee politician said Raila has nothing to offer and is playing with the mind of his supporter's with fake promises."My appeal is to NASA supporters to realise that their journey to 'Cannan' was not successful and should now support president Uhuru Kenyatta who was duly elected," he said.Shahbal also asked NASA top leaders to stop engaging in ugly activities and instead work with president Kenyatta's government.He said that the country needs unity to achieve its development agenda and not violence or economic boycotts.The Jubilee politician also warned NASA against its push to swear-in Raila Odinga as president.He asked NASA to abandon the idea and instead use the available constitutional mechanisms to push its reforms agenda.Raila's swearing-in that had been planned for today (Tuesday) was canceled on Sunday.NASA says that its push for reforms is still on course saying that it will announce another date for Raila's swearing-in.Raila has maintained that he does not recognize president Uhuru Kenyatta's government .
