Independent candidate Peter Kenneth should forget his Nairobi governor bid and withdraw from the race to support Jubilee Party's Mike Sonko.
This is according to President Uhuru Kenyatta
Speaking at a Nairobi rally on Friday, the president called upon Kenneth to relinquish his bid and work together with the 'people's choice'.
"It is time to abandon your bid and support the winning team of Sonko-Igathe," Uhuru told the independent candidate.
"Peter Kenneth, njoo tufanye kazi, kazi yako tuko nayo. Mji wa Nairobi wachia Mike Sonko ambaye watu walichagua," the President added.
He asked Nairobians to vote for Jubilee candidates since JP has selected a team that best understands their needs.
Kenneth lost to Sonko in the Jubilee primaries in April and decided to run as an independent after dismissing the primaries as a sham.
