The ruling Jubilee Party has been cautioned against anticipating any vote from the Gusii community in the approaching presidential elections.

Speaking in a press conference after meeting a section of leaders from the community at the Okoa Kenya offices Wednesday,NASA Presidential candidate Raila Odinga maintained that the community is solidly in support of his bid.

He said that the Gusii similarly fully backed him in the nullified August 8 election but President Uhuru Kenyatta of Jubilee managed to scoop a portion of the votes as a result of the alleged botched rigging attempt.

''It is now clear that Uhuru and Ruto have absolutely no support in Gusiiland. The community representatives have assured NASA of solid support as was the case in the last elections,'' he said.

His comments were echoed by Dagoretti North lawmaker Simba Arati who said that with full support from the region,Odinga is headed for a clear victory.

''Just like Uhuru enjoys almost a hundred percent support in his Central Kenya stronghold,we are more committed and are working towards ensuring that Raila achieves a similar result in not only Gusii land but the entire Nyanza region and with that,he is headed for an outright victory,'' said Arati.
