Kenyans live and breath politics. Right now, social media is awash with news and updates about the Jubilee and Cord MPs who are being held in police cells over hate speech.
Politics has drawn all the attention and that is why the 7th national organization of peer educators, NOPE conference on HIV/Aids will pass unnoticed.
The three-day conference, which was opened by first lady Margaret Kenyatta at the Kenyatta international convention centre, KICC in Nairobi on June 15, brought delegates from across the counties to discuss the way forward to curb the spread of HIV/Aids.
If the statistics given during the conference is anything to go by, then we all need to forget politics for a while and turn our attention to the this monster that is killing thousands of us.
The statistics given during the conference shows that 35,000 new infections have been recorded among young women agad 15-24 in the last one year.
This is a real shocker and unless we do something we are headed to the grave.
