Ngao said that the two leaders will not get many votes from the Muslims community as they have been thinking.
In an interview with Star, Ngao said that the duo should not expect a few leaders from the community to drag others to their side when that time comes.
“Muslims are not pocketed by other Muslim leaders. The truth is that only a few Muslims will vote for Jubilee,” he said.
He also said that the current government has been treating the Muslim community as second class, which he termed as unacceptable.
He said that the government has not funded counties where Muslims reside, which will haunt it dearly during the August General elections
“In the Coast, from Vanga to Taita Taveta, to Malindi, Tana River and Lamu, no farmer has been funded with money to do agriculture.
“We have not heard the government give North Eastern farmers funds in subsidies. These are two regions that host many Muslims,” Sheikh Ngao said.
The remarks come at a time when both Jubilee and NASA have intensfied their campaigns in different parts of the nation.
